What can I drop?

Getting this onto your vintage Mac (or emulator)

The quick way - a disk image

  • Export a BlueSCSI / Emulator disk (.hda) - or a DiskCopy floppy (.dc42) if it fits.
  • The disk already holds your files extracted and ready to use - no unstuffing needed.
  • On real hardware: copy the .hda onto your BlueSCSI SD card as-is.
  • In an emulator (Snow, Mini vMac, Basilisk II…): attach the image as a hard disk / floppy.

Or as an archive - with BlueSCSI Toolbox

  • Export a StuffIt 1.5.1 (.sit) archive.
  • Place it on your SD card in a folder called shared.
  • Add the BlueSCSI Bootstrap image to the SD card too.
  • Use the BlueSCSI Toolbox SD Transfer utility to copy the .sit over.
  • Open it with StuffIt Expander / UnStuffIt (on the Bootstrap image under Stuff > Compression).

Fix file types

These files have no (or a generic) Mac type/creator, so the Finder would show them as blank documents. Based on each file's name, here's the type/creator we'd set - tick the ones to fix. Nothing changes until you apply.
